As Nigeria celebrates its 50th anniversary, it is important for the leaders and citizens of this great nation to turn to God. At 50, Nigeria may not have gotten to where it is expected to be.But if its citizens can accept God and turn to His ways, then Nigeria and Nigerians will experience the blessings of God. Let us be Christ like.
"That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world."(Phil 2:15)

The Soul Winner
Every soul-winner is in the secret of the Lord, and has had a definite
personal experience of salvation and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, which
brings him into close fellowship and tender friendship and sympathy with
the Savior. Remember what king David said. “Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot
out all my iniquities. Create within me a clean heart, O God, and renew a
right spirit within me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation, and
uphold me with Thy free Spirit. Then,” said he, “will I teach transgressors
Thy ways and sinners shall be converted unto Thee.” (Psalm 51:10-42.)
The soul winner must have gained salvation and purged himself of sin,then will he see the need to win souls for his Savior. Even Christ the Savior went into fasting and prayers for 40 days and nights before he started His ministry of soul winning. Lets be ChristLike

Prayer Makes The Better Christian
Study universal holiness of life. Your whole usefulness depends on this,
for your sermons last but an hour or two; your life preaches all the week.
If Satan can only make a covetous christian a lover of praise, of pleasure,
of good eating, he has ruined your life. Give yourself to prayer, and
get your texts, your thoughts, your words from God. Luther spent his
best three hours in prayer.
God’s plan is to make much of the man, far more of him than
of anything else. Men are God’s method. The Church is looking for better
methods; God is looking for better men.
Christ gave much time to praying, and that saw Him through his ministry. Be CHRISTLIKE and indulge in prayer.

Suscribing to God's will
The essence of perfection is to embrace the will of God in all things,
prosperous or adverse. In prosperity, even sinners find it easy to unite
themselves to the divine will; but it takes saints to unite themselves to God’s
will when things go wrong and are painful to self-love. Our conduct in such
instances is the measure of our love of God. St. John of Avila used to say:
“One ‘Blessed be God’ in times of adversity, is worth more than a thousand
acts of gratitude in times of prosperity (St. John Avil. Letters 41.).”
One cannot but submit himself to the will of God. God's will could be observed in the form of instruction as was the case of Jonah, or as an event/ occurrence. In any case, adhering to His will place man in the position where God wants him to be. Christ the son of God showed a typical example even unto death.
